Dynam PBY Catalina V2 Grey 1500mm 59" Wingspan Twin Engine Radio Controlled Waterplane - PNP/BNF/RTF-6C - DY8943GY
The Dynam PBY Catalina V2 twin-engine float plane is well-designed, and the three-piece detachable wing is easy to carry and assemble. 1500mm (59") wingspan and dual Detrum BM2815A-1100KV (CW & CCW) brushless outrunner motors provide plenty of power, great lift force, short takeoff distance, and strong wind resistance capacity. The commonly used 3S 11.1V 2200mAh 25C Li-Po batteries can support a flight of 8-10 minutes. It is perfect for flying on the lake in summer.
This PBY Catalina Blue remote-controlled waterplane includes dual TomCat Skylord-30A ESC 2A-BEC, LED lights with pre-soldered connector ends, and a LED light controller for static and flashing operations.
The Consolidated PBY Catalina was an American flying boat and later an amphibious aircraft produced by Consolidated Aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s. It was one of the most widely used seaplanes of World War II. Catalinas served with every branch of the United States Armed Forces and in many other nations' air forces and navies.
During World War II, PBYs were used in anti-submarine warfare, patrol bombing, convoy escorts, search and rescue missions (especially air-sea rescue), and cargo transport. The PBY was the most numerous aircraft, and the last active military PBYs were not retired from service until the 1980s. Even today, nearly 80 years after its first flight, the aircraft continues to fly as a waterbomber (or air tanker) in aerial firefighting operations worldwide.
Months of flight testing and design from Dynam yield an aircraft that is very stable and capable of maintaining flight at slow speeds that allow novices to master flight mechanics with ease. High-quality scale detail and a large 1.4m wingspan make this an attention-grabbing model. Made from a high-strength EPO foam for added durability. Powered by twin 1100KV electric brushless motors, all you need is a GAVIN 6-channel 2.4Ghz radio, MSR66A 6-channel receiver, and 3S 11.1V 2200mAh Li-Po battery, and you're ready for water-based sorties and patrols!
